Must-see sights of Capri

Grotta Azzurra

Capri’s signature attraction, this natural sea cave is 200 feet long by 80 feet wide and is only accessible through an opening measuring less than three feet high. When the sun enters the cave, the water appears to glow in an eerie blue light from below.

The Faraglioni

These three distinctive sea stacks – the tallest of which is 300 feet high – emerge from the sea directly in front of Punta Tragara. Although visitors are not permitted on the rocks, they can admire them from a boat.

Capri town and the Piazzetta

The epitome of cosmopolitan Capri. An absolute must-see, where the celebrity vibe does nothing to diminish the subtle charms of the old town’s quaint alleys.

Villa Jovis

Emperor Tiberius built this palace on a promontory overlooking the sea, and its ruins are the ideal spot to immerse yourself in history – and in the deep blue of the panorama.

Monte Solaro

This is Capri’s “house mountain”, the highest point on the island and the perfect place to admire the breathtaking views as a gentle sea breeze wafts by.

Gardens of August and Via Krupp

The most legendary walk on Capri, leading from the Piazzetta to the Gardens of August, where you can revel in the panorama as well as the twists and turns of Via Krupp carved into the rock.

Via Tragara and Pizzolungo

Walking from Punta Tragara into town takes you through a special sliver of Caprese paradise, with luxurious seaside residences on either side, including the villa where Spanish poet Pablo Neruda stayed.

Marina Grande and Marina Piccola

Visitors from the mainland disembark at Marina Grande, home to a distinctive cluster of colorful houses and the island’s largest beach. Local legend says that the rocks bisecting the bay of Marina Piccola were once home to group of seductive sirens.
